Leisure
Village is a planned unit development. It is governed by an
elected Board of Directors. They set policy which is carried
out by an extensive committee network and a paid staff of
100. Common areas are owned by the Association and the
Association is owned by the property owners. Construction of
the Village began in 1973 and was completed in 1984 on these
all-electric homes. St. John's - Pleasant Valley Hospital is
only three miles from the Village.
The
Village is an age-restricted Senior Housing Development as
defined by State Civil Code 51.3 and the Federal Fair
Housing Act. As such, one resident must be at least 55 years
of age.
